So sorry to hear of your loss. I always found Myrtle to be such a pleasant upbeat person. If ever there was a person who was young at heart, it was her.

Laurelton Memorial Funeral Home, 109 Pier Avenue, Brick, NJ 08723
Early in the morning of October 24, Myrtle Campbell passed away peacefully at the Ocean Medical Center with her family at her side. Thanks to hospice care, she was kept comfortable and pain free. Myrtle always made sure that all understood what she wanted in her final days; so much so that for the last 3 years she wore a "do not resuscitate" necklace 24/7. Because she was so verbal about her wishes, she made decision making easy for her family.
Myrtle lived a good 88 years and crossed into the afterlife on her own terms. She was a child of the Depression, so a fighter by nature, but she knew when to stop fighting. Myrtle was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her sisters, weekly phone calls from her brother, visits with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild whom she affectionately called "Little Lizzie."
Myrtle is preceded in death by her husband the late, Stanley Campbell in 2006, her sons-in-law Victor J. Houston and William Carolan. She is survived by her loving daughters, Margaret Campbell of Brick NJ, Leslie Campbell Carolan of Ramsey, NJ; grandchildren, Dr. Shelley Carolan-Clare and her husband Dennis; Matthew J. Carolan, Meghan Donnelly-Tecson and her husband Michael; and Casey Donnelly Mendenhall and her husband Scott; and one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Carolan Clare. Myrtle is also survived by her siblings, Thomas Wood of Bedford, TX, Marion E. Wood Keen of Tunkhannock, PA and Hazel Wood Steel of Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please roll your eyes and give a hug. Laurelton Memorial Funeral Home in Brick is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
