Read MoreI can remember when the Douglass family move to Hanford, we were neighbors. As a young boy she was one of our 'mothers' for all the boys in the neighborhood. I stopped by for a nice visit last time I was in Hanford, and now I am glad that I did. My sympathy to Larry, Steve and Nancy.

In 1967, after graduating from Fresno State, my first real "job" was at the Welfare Dept. I was a caseworker and Myrtle was my supervisor. She was terrific in this role. I have fond memories. My condolences to her family.

My condolences to the Douglass family. I was Myrtle's secretary for many years while she was program manager. She was a wonderful boss with a great sense of humor. I know you will all miss her--may she rest in peace.
