Myrtle Alice Lipscomb

Myrtle Alice Lipscomb, 90, of Palmyra, died on Saturday evening, December 24, 2011, with her family all present. She was born on July 15, 1921, in Fluvanna County, a daughter of the late Percy A. and Nannie Jones Thomas and widow of Floyd J. Lipscomb. She is survived by a son, Floyd a. Lipscomb of Palmyra; a brother, Earl Thomas of Richmond; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be conducted 12 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011, at the New Fork Baptist Church on Mountain Hill Road in Palmyra, Virginia. The Reverend Maynard Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia. Friends may call at the Colbert Funeral Home in Bremo Bluff, from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011, 2011, and Friday, December 30, 2011.
