In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Dear Julie and Kenny,
I was sorry to read in the morning paper about the passing of your mother. It was a lovely tribute to her. Although I am in NC and unable to see you at either the visitation or service this weekend, please know that Bill and I will both keep you in our hearts and prayers.

My aunt Myrtle was quite a shopper. She always stopped by the house to show us what she got. I spent more time at her house as a young girl than my own.She liked sewing and made me two dresses. She wanted my mother (her sister) to go out for lunch. But my mother liked staying at home. I've never told anyone that mom give me $5 to go with her out to eat. I enjoyed eating lunch with her. I cant remember the place but it was across the Ashley River. She will be greatly missed.

Aunt Myrtle you are missed very much. I know that i didnt come see you very often but I kept up with you because my mom was over there ever saturday with you. I miss you very much and I love you. Rest peacefully.

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this time of bereavement. I know that God will comfort each of you as He is the Great Comforter. May His peace come upon you.
