MYRTLE ?KELLY? LOPEZ, age 88 of Las Cruces entered eternal life Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Kelly was born November 02, 1925 In Matsqui, British Columbia, Canada to parents Louis and Alice Julian. Kelly was more than a homemaker; she was a Make People Feel Good Specialist, a Technician of Molding Good-Hearted People, Senior Officer of Listening Patiently, Architect of Subtle Acts of Kindness, Engineer of Unconditional Acceptance, and Supervisor of Thoughtful Gift Giving. She was well known for her excellent cooking and calm nature and will be missed by all who knew her.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Salvador Lopez of the family home; three sons, Robin Lopez of Las Cruces, Ramon Luis Lopez of Lemon Grove, California, and Bernardo Membrere of Marysville, Washington; four daughters, Florinda Perkins and husband Gerald of Everett, Washington, Georgia Rathbun and husband Rick of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Marilyn Stevens of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Mable Romero of Seattle, Washington. Other survivors include two sisters, Margarita ?Dee? Macpherson of Columbus, Ohio and Anna Alex of Rosedale, British Columbia, as well as a special niece, Rebecca Berkson and family, Arthur, Mia and Lilah. of Las Cruces, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
At her request cremation will take place. A gathering of relatives and friends was held on Saturday, March 22, 2014.
