Nan Fry was such an influential professor in my life. She nurtured a safe environment in which a student could explore and expand our understanding of poetry and express our experiences through the art of poetry and prose.

I'm so sorry to hear of Nan's passing. She will be sorely missed. I only met her a few times at The Writer's Center and remember her as very kind and endlessly curious. We are blessed to be left with her poetry, although she left us way too soon.
