Nancy Adamson, long time resident of Midland Texas and daughter of the late Bill and Mayree Adamson, has gone on to secure her most exclusive interviews not available to those of us left here on earth. Born September 25, 1959 in Abilene Texas, Nancy dedicated all 61 years gathering and collecting ultimate stories, interviews, experiences, memorabilia and useless trivia she could. Those little facts, she loved to share with anyone and at any time you were apart of her "did you know" game show. Undoubtedly The Beatles were her passion, but would extend far beyond one genre or label. She did not limit herself to specific styles or artists. Those traits would then go on to open many doors for her during her 27 year career with the Midland Reporter Telegram where her Texas Tech studies in journalism paid off.
Before her long career at the MRT, she also managed a family run business Reel Music in Midland.
The same love and appreciation for life was not exclusive to entertainment, she was extremely compassionate to all living creatures, showing love and attention to any animal she came across she was especially fond of all of her pets over the years. Beyond that she was the best Aunt, not only to her nephews Branson and Alec and niece Christy Borunda, but to her friends and their children as well.
When you knew if Nancy was visiting it was going to be a great time! Although considered a relatively private person, she made herself available in means of support, friendship and advice. She was always an advocate for the underdogs, and would lift anyone up who expressed doubt for themselves.
She leaves behind, her sister Carol Ramirez and brother in law Sergio, nephews Branson and Alec Ramirez of Midland and Christy Borunda of Lubbock. Her Aunt, Maureen Wood and spouse Wayne and cousin Steve of Mississippi.
At this time the family will plan to hold a future celebration of Nancy's life the way we know she would like to be remembered and will be notified at a later date. Until we gather, please love on your fur babies, say yes to your next concert invite and please consider donating to an animal sanctuary or a Diabletes Foundation.
