Nancy Susan Bakaitis

I, and many of my fellow graduates from Arcadia High School, recall "Mrs. Bakaitis" as our science/physics teacher in the mid-1960´s - probably in her very first teaching position. Looking back, it was probably a "trial by fire" for her, as we were undoubtedly a challenging group of young people. But perhaps we should take credit for providing the challenge that led to her outstanding academic and professional success later in her career! Susan was an amazing woman; it was a pleasure to know her. She will be missed.

God Bless your family! I was fortunate enough to teach at Arcadia HS for a short period while Mrs. Bakaitis did as well. Within that short period of time was special for me. That community was blessed in having her!

I´m so sorry for the loss of your Mother and Grandmother. She was my chemistry teacher at Arcadia in the early 80s and was passionate about her job. Thanks to her when I went on to nursing school and they used chemistry to weed students out, I was able to pass easily. I´m sure she influenced so many other students´ lives at Arcadia as well.

I wish to offer to Beth and Gail and their families my prayers. I was so sorry to hear of their mothers death. She was always welcoming to me from the first time I met her.
