BIRMINGHAM, Nancy Lee - Of Montrose, age 54, died Sunday, October 19, 2003 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 11AM Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Trinity Baptist Church, 4222 North Elms Road in Flushing, Pastor Leonard Saunders officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to a fund for Nancy's grandchildren. Visitation 3-8PM Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mrs. Birmingham will be at the church from 10AM Wednesday until the time of the service. She was born in Burton, Michigan on April 15, 1949, the daughter of the late Earl and Suda Moss and was a resident of Montrose since 1973. Nancy married Michael Birmingham on March 7, 1969 in Flint. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church. She graduated from Hurley School of Nursing in 1970 and was employed by Genesys Health Park. Nancy enjoyed gardening and liked to travel. Surviving are husband, Michael; 4 daughters, Katrina Birmingham of Flint, Kristin and husband Douglas Vollertsen of Villa Grove, Colorado, Katherine and husband Timmy Empson of Groton, New York, KaSandra Jackson of Montrose; 5 grandchildren, Trever and Tori Lee Empson, Ava Vollertsen, Katlyn Jackson and Jacob Empson; 2 brothers, Ken and wife Betty Moss of Davison, John and wife Faith Moss of Burton; sister, Diane Moss of Arkansas; in- laws, Lesley and Theresa Birmingham of Flushing; 4 brothers-in-law, Darrell, Ron, Les, Frank and their spouses; several nieces, nephews and many close friends.
MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH NANCY'S FAMILY TODAY AND ALWAYS. I WORKED WITH NANCY AT GENESYS AND HAVE WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF HER LOVING CARE TO PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. SHE WILL BE MISSED.
