Nancy Lynn (Gonzalez) Blaylock, born on June 30, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois, to Rita Rivera and the late Radames Gonzalez, passed away at age 58 on February 2, 2019 in Skokie, Illinois. She graduated from Waller for high school in 1978. She was in the Health Care industry as a caregiver at Senior Living. Nancy was married to the late Glen Blaylock. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Gonzalez. Nancy is survived by her daughters; Susie Martinez Goldhagen, Kristy Martinez Las, Erica Koopman, and Ashley Blaylock; sons, Samuel Martinez, Adam Blaylock, Glen Blaylock, and Nicholas Blaylock; brothers, Steven Gonzalez and Ray Gonzalez; sisters, Brunilda Velazquez, Jacqueline Washington, and Catherine Gonzalez; grandchildren, Giovanni, Eliana, Jewel, Sammy, Gia, Lauren, Lukas, Nathaniel, Zaraiyah, and Adonis. She also leaves behind her first spouse and friend Sam Martinez. She also leaves behind her adored GrandPets Odin, Zoe, Frida & Butters. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Nancy enjoyed music, dancing, fashion, soap operas, Archie comics and eating Reece Cups. She always told you like it was. She had a great personality. Friends and family can pay their respects at the memorial service, officiated by Elder Darryl Washington & Pastor Tim Biel, on Thursday, February 7 from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 8237 Kenton Ave, Skokie, Illinois, 60076. Following that, there will be a celebration of life, officiated by Catherine Gonzalez, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at The Log Cabin at the church.

I just found out about Nancy's passing. We used to work together at the Walgreens on Touhy and Overhill. She was a funny lady. Rest in peace. Such a great lady.
