Woodlawn Funeral Home - Cranston Obituary

Nancy (Lee) Bourque, 67, of Warwick passed suddenly on January 19, 2017. She was the loving wife of John for over 43 years. Born in Salem, Mass., she was the daughter of G. Virginia Roberts of Cranston and the late Harold Lee. She was the stepdaughter of the late William Roberts. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Renee Moniz and her husband Stephen of Cranston, and Andrea of Warwick; her brother Mark Lee and his wife Joyce of North Attleboro; her extended family; and, most of all, her granddaughter Lily Moniz, age 5, who was her light and eternal love. Nancy worked as an LPN at RI Hospital and Women & Infants Hospitals before becoming Director of the Auxiliary at Women & Infants for over 25 years. She was also a vital part of the family business, HB Alarm Systems, before retiring in 2012. Nancy filled her retirement with travel, good wine and most of all her friends & family. She loved the color red and had over 30 lipsticks in that shade. She was known for her house full of mermaids and adding "bling" to every occasion. Nancy had a way of inviting you into her life and not letting you go. She did this with her honorary granddaughter Jalen Fulton as well as her dear friends at the YMCA and Bay View Academy. Nancy's funeral is Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, Cranston. Entombment will follow in Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, Johnston. Calling hours Tuesday 4-7 p.m. Please share memories at WoodlawnGattone.com
