Nancy was born in Milwaukee on November 15, 1931. She attended Wauwatosa public schools
and married Enoch Carver III of Green Lake. She later married William J Buetow of
Wauwatosa in 1981.
Nancy was a gifted artist and artisan; she loved flowers and gardening and found a career as a
floral designer at The Cottage Shop in Green Lake, Rose's Flower Shop in Wauwatosa, Pilgrim
Square in Brookfield and Sentry Food Stores throughout Milwaukee. In 1977 she quit her job and went into fulltime Christian work, serving in the Prison Ministries of Campus Crusade for Christ. She worked in prisons in California, counseling and guiding female inmates and then continued that
work in Wisconsin at Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fond du Lac and the House of
Correction in Milwaukee.
After moving to the Fox Valley of Wisconsin in 1984, Nancy and her husband, Bill started a gift shop
called The White Cart in Neenah, where she continued to use her talents in floral designing. She and Bill were actively involved in their churches wherever they lived, Elmbrook Church in Waukesha, Calvary Bible Church in Neenah and First Baptist Church in Sarasota.
Nancy will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, creativity, boldness, love of the Packers,
and most of all, her strong faith in God. It was her desire for everyone to know the love of God and
to follow her Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
"Absent from the body,
present with the Lord."
