Dear Mary Gat,Mason,
I can remember your ma bringing me comic books when I had the flu at age 9. My ma didn't allow comic books, so they were a cherished possession, which I still have along with a lifetime of wonderful memories of your mom.
I am truly grateful for having the chance to be enriched by her.
I am thinking of you. Love Ross

Mary Gat, I don't know if you remember me, but I lived in Charlottesville from 1978-1995, and I have very fond memories of you and your mom. She was a really lovely woman, with a lively sense of humor, a great appetite for fun, and just an all around sparkplug. I know you will miss her, but you can be comforted in knowing that she lived a full, rich life and made many great friends through the years.
