Nancy Drake

Where to begin?  So many memories.  From Lanewood, to camping, to the large family gatherings at holidays.  Her trips back to Colorado later in life.  Spending evenings down at PSU with Naomi as a small boy when she was getting her degree while simultaneously raising a family of 6.  Alone.  Perhaps my most vivid memory is when she told me "You can do anything you put your mind to."  What an incredibly empowering thing to say to a child!  She was a saint, and I shall always remember her that...

She helped me more that she should've.

As a Daughter-in-law, I was so very fortunate to have had Nancy in my life. I admired her so very much in so many ways. Most of all, was the way she raised 6 amazing children and how deeply they loved and respected her. I always found it the most beautiful thing. Nancy truly was the heart of this amazing family. Her deep love and caring for her family will stay with me always and so will the lessons I've learned from her. She gives me the best example of a life well lived. I miss her dearly...

A wonderful, intelligent, patient "second Mom" to me for many years. Nancy was the cool hippie mom on the block. I so loved that about her. So very blessed to have been part of the tribe. I will miss her.

I remember babysitting for most of you guys!! Loved. Your mom she was a great person.

Nancy was my son-in-law´s mother and friend. She was an awesome person and an honor knowing her. Truly a lady to admire. Nancy will be missed.
