I knew her as "Miss Filip," my high school English teacher my sophomore year at Nazareth Academy, 1962-63. The day I first walked into her classroom I began to cry, as I had been expecting a different and favorite teacher. Little did I realize that Miss Filip would soon become one of my favorite teachers of all time.
