Nancy French

Nancy French, age 82, of Joppatowne, MD, passed away on January 29, 2013 at Lorien Riverside in Belcamp, MD. Born in Portage, WI, she was the daughter of the late Henry Michael and Catherine Maude Murphy Egan. A homemaker and a good cook, she loved to visit family in Madison and attend the Egan family reunions. She was devoted to family, friends and Holy Spirit Church. She was also active in the Edgewood and Joppatowne Golden Age Clubs, and the Eating Together Program for seniors. She also loved to go on trips with her fellow club members. Mrs. French is survived by her husband, Joseph James French; son, William R. Roeder and his wife, Marisa, of Whiteford, MD; daughters, Susan M. Brunsell and her husband, Joseph, of Madison, WI, Jane A. Thomas and husband, Bradley, of Havre de Grace, MD and, Beth E. Somers and husband, Jonathan, of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Gavin, Gabrielle and Kyle Roeder; Jeff Brunsell and wife, Alexis, Joshua Brunsell and friend, April Conners, and Jessica Brunsell; Shannon Plourde and husband, Dennis, and Christopher Thompson and wife, Victoria Evans, Matthew and Jonathan Thomas; and great-grandchildren, Joseph, Allyson, Danielle, Samantha, Lorenzo, Sierra, Tyler and Hailey Brunsell; Sean, Alyssa, Joshua, and Jacob Plourde and Sabrina Evans; and a Poodle named Joe; brother, Michael Egan and wife, Lee, of Fond du Lac, WI. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Patrick and James Egan; and sisters, Rosemary Lucas and Jean Phillips.
