Nancy Jo Gatrost-Bergantzel, age 56, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away January 19, 2013, at Mercy Hospital.

She was born in Council Bluffs, on August 9, 1956.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Dorothy Gatrost; step mother, Catherine Gatrost; niece, Ginny Ruzicka.

She is survived by her husband, Leland Bergantzel; son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Amanda Gatrost; grandsons, "The M&M's"; sisters, Carol Overall, Mary Ruzicka; nieces, nephews; her loving "kids", Nugget, Sunny, Roxie and Daffy.

Visitation is Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Thursday, 11 a.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Nancy requested stuffed animal puppies. Memorials are suggested to the Council Bluffs Veterinary Clinic. "I did it My Way – Nancy".

sorry to hear of nancys passing. she was my best friend in grade school. prayers go out to her family.

My heart goes out to LeLand and the rest of the family. Prayers to all of you.

Leland and family our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss. Nancy was a very special friend as you of ours and there are so many great times to think about and it is true Nancy did it her way. She will be truly missed by many.
