Nancy Hillis Obituary

Family-Placed Obituary

Nancy Jo Funderburg Hillis Nancy Jo Funderburg Hillis, 70, of Austin, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2005. Born February 11, 1935, in Breckenridge, Texas, she was the daughter of Clarence Mayfield Funderburg and Maime Lee McDonald. Her parents preceded her in death, as did her husband of 33 years, T.J. Hillis, Jr., in February of 2005; her son, John Tye Ripple in 1980; and her grandson, Justin Lee Baker. Nancy was an Administrative Assistant for the Legislative Budget Board for 23 years. She was very active along side her husband as a farmer and rancher. All though she was not an active member of Great Hills Baptist Church, she very much enjoyed watching the television ministry. She is survived by her son, Harold Scott Ripple and wife, Emma; daughter, Leann Baker and husband, Randy; granddaughter, Meagan Lara and husband, Robert; grandsons, Cody and Kevin Baker; great-grandson, Jacob Lara. She is also survived by two sisters, Oleta Gibson and Juanita Thedford; one brother, Eugene Funderburg; along with other relatives and many friends. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2005 in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
