Not sure what to say?

Dear Loved Ones of Dr. Huse,

My sympathy to you. She was truly unique and a force to be reckoned with. She challenged me and changed me, more than anyone else at Augie. I was lucky to be around when the Women's Studies Center opened in Old Main. I probably took every course she taught. I will never forget her.

Peace...from Class of 1994

I first met Nancy when she married my Mother's cousin, Dale Huse. Since Mom was an only child Dale and Nancy felt more like an Aunt and Uncle. We attended their beautiful wedding at Augustana and they attended my college graduation two years later from Luther college. Nancy was a caring and inspiring friend that I met at RIFAC in the water aerobics classes. She would meet several of us for lunch on Fridays. Nancy always had interesting tales to share about her life and humorous and insightful comments! She was deeply concerned about people and how we could change societal policies and opinions to make life better for all. She was a teacher and mentor to so many! God bless her family and loved ones!

My aunt was a life long learner with the spirit of adventure all her life. I miss her terribly and hope in my own life to have her curiosity about the world, and her willingness to learn.

Nancy, friend and feminist mentor, will be sorely missed. She was an inspiration to me and many other women and girls. Never easy, but often energizing and creative, our relationship and collaboration resulted in some wonderful and lasting changes and results.
