Mark and I feel so incredibly lucky to have counted Nancy and Charlie as friends. We got to live slices of life together as lakehouse neighbors in a beautiful cove on Lake LBJ. Nancy always had us laughing with her dry wit and her amazing use of inflection. She was so delightful and easy to hang with- a beautiful soul.Nancy felt like family to us - actually born the same year as my own parents. I wish events in my life could´ve made me available to visit Nancy in her later years, especially after the passing of her husband Charles. I have fond memories of visiting her in Bitburg, Germany as a young teenager delivering the stars and stripes with one of her two sons . We lost Touch in later years, as is usually the case with Air Force families, but I was pleased that she & Charles were in San Antonio to attend my own father`s funeral in 2015 . I wish I could be there to pay tribute...
