Mrs Kowal was like a second mom to me growing up. I loved her dearly, especially that contagious laugh. Fond memory: getting invited over for dinner as a little girl and Nance making her mashed potatoes!

Sorry for your loss. My sincere condolences to your families. Mrs Kowal was a parent to all of us kids growing up in our neighborhood. Your Parents always made us kids welcomed to your home, well except the time I threw a big snow boulder into your storm door and shattered it. I remember your Mom as a picture lady as well as Hot dog lunch Mom at McKinley. No comforting words can express the loss of a parent.
