Not sure what to say?

Dear Latimer family:

I was so sorry to learn about the loss of your beloved Nancy. Unfortunately, since it happened at the height of the election season, I just learned of it. ALS is a horrible, insidious disease and I am saddened that she must have suffered so. May you be gladdened, particularly at this time of year, with your wonderful memories of her. Sounds like she was a very bright, very giving person. My heart goes out to you all.

Sincerely,

Dear George and family,
All of us at the A.L. Mailman Family Foundation are so sorry to hear of your loss. Nancy was a true leader; a wise and informed promoter of the needs of children, youth and families. I will always remember how she oriented me to the board of GCYF and to her important work in Minnesota. My sincerest sympathies to you and your family.
With warm regards,
Patti Lieberman,
Chair, A.L. Mailman Family Foundation, Inc.

Dear George and Family,

Nancy was a grantmaker colleague of mine and helped orient me to Grantmakers for Children, Youth and Families (GCYF), whose board I now chair.

Those of us in the philanthropic community will dearly miss Nancy's hopeful and sensible voice. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you as you struggle to cope with your loss.

George
Nancy was such a champion for children. Knowing her was a highlight of my life these past few years. As you will, we will miss her dedication, passion, and friendship.

Dear George, Kate and the entire Latimer family:
My heart goes out to you at this very very difficult time. The world is a better place because of Nancy. She lives on through her children, grandchildren and everyone she has touched directly and indirectly. Surround yourselves in a cloak of happy memories and celebrate the well lived life of a wonderful woman.

George and family please accept my sympathy on the loss of Nancy. I only spoke with her a couple times but I knew this was a special lady. May you find peace, and comfort in knowing she will be missed by so many people.

Tom Latimer,
I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I went to Murray Jr. High with you in 1980-81, I believe you were a 7th grader when I was in 8th. We both played the trumpet in band. Anyway--when I heard about your mother, I had to get out the yearbook. I don't believe I ever met your mother, but she sounded like a special individual. Working on policies to protect children, must have been very rewarding. Thinking of you and your family at this difficult time.

I am so sorry to learn of your loss. May God's amazing, loving, transforming, and strengthening Love, Grace, and Peace be sensed by you all during this difficult time. The world was blessed to have had Nancy in it!

Dear George and family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. God bless Nancy and her entire family.
