Read MoreSo sorry to hear of this news. My daughter had Nancy at Gilford Elementary and we have many fond memories of that year. My daughter gave her a gift of an apron and we still have a photo of Mrs. Meckstroth wearing it at home in her kitchen. My condolences.

Jane sent us e-mail about Nancy's death. We were so sorry to hear this news. My mother, Ruth (Meckstroth) Finlay, always enjoyed hearing from her. She spoke of a visit on the island years ago. Nancy was quite a gal. She will be greatly missed.

Nancy made an enormous impact on my daughter, Alexandra's life. Her ability to see and bring out gifts that even the most difficult children possess made her a unique person. We were very blessed to have had her as our daughter's teacher for two years.
