A beautiful tribute! Sending lots of love to the Mitchell Family as we all remember our favorite red head, who I was blessed enough to call Nannie. She was really the kids that I was a babysitter for´s Nannie, but I was gifted the Valentine´s cards with the two dollar bills and the kind interest in my life by a woman who lived a fabulous one! Cheers to a life well lived!

When our family and the Mitchells moved into Chatham, NJ, my mom Fran and Nan met at the Newcomers Club...that´s where our story began...and still being written through us kids. I was the daughter she never had...and I´m a redhead too! Every day I thank God for bringing together my Mom and Aunt Nancy. After years of friendship and love, I asked if we kids could call them `Aunt Nancy´/Uncle Jerry´ and `Aunt Fran/Uncle Olin´. With my love of so many loving memories. Love, "Lady Jane"...

I met Nancy in recent years through the Hanover Historical Society and we quickly discovered other connections. I enjoyed every single conversation that I was lucky enough to have with Nancy since then. I learned a life lesson or two during each interaction. She will be missed fiercely by the Hanover community and I thank her family for sharing her story with us in the Valley News. Barbara Fildes
