Not sure what to say?

I was in Mrs. Murray´s second grade class 22 years ago and I still think about her to this day. By far my favorite most impactful teacher. I learned so many great life lessons within her teachings and I´m so fortunate to have been able to experience such an angel on earth. I speak highly of her regularly and today I decided to look up her obituary- I´m glad I did! So much of what I learned about her (like attending the same high school and that she taught for 33 years; my lucky number) left...

Nancy was my daughter Marisa's second grade teacher last year. Nancy will always be remembered as being a wonderful teacher but mostly remembered as a wonderful person. She also became my friend. We relocated to New Jersey last spring but memories of Mrs. Murray came with us. We all were saddened to learn of her death. Marisa keeps a picture of Mrs. Murray on her nightstand and we are reminded of her love and we feel blessed to have known her. Our prayers are with her...

Nancy tutored my son in math one summer years ago ('91). I remember going to her apartment behind the Arborateum and even meeting and hearing about Leah, whom Nancy was so proud of.
I will never forget the love and compassion she showered on Christian. She made my son feel intelligent and special and allayed so many of the concerns a mother often has when her first child starts school.
Because Christian thrived under her direction I hoped he would be her student...

Although I was not fortunate enouth to know Nancy, I do know her sister Carol and her family. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

I am the daughter of Lee and Ella Ann Smith and sister of Susannah Smith Knight and Sarah Jane Smith Plevka. We had the pleasure of knowing your family including Carol and Pat. We have fond memories of riding horses with them at the old Meadowbrook stables at highway 51 and Providence Road. My son Gray attends Elizabeth Lane Elementary and will have fond memories of your sister. We are so sorry for your loss and want you to know that you are in our thoughts.

I am Nancy's only first cousin. I really did not know her nor did she know me. I regreat this because of so many miles and political beliefs we never will. My thoughts and prayers are with her daughter Leah and husband Tom and other extended family members.

Mrs. Murray has meant so much to our family. Our son Ian received so much love and attention from her during second grade last year. She was so loving, patient and kind. We are so thankful to have known her and will miss her very much. Her positive influence will be with us forever.

Mrs. Murray was my daughter's second grade teacher this past year. Although she was her teacher only a short time, we are greatful to have known her. She was a very special person. She will always hold a special place in Paige's heart. Paige prayed for her everyday and asked every one she knew to pray for her too. Our deepest sympathy to her family, friends and students.

Nancy was a highschool classmate. I wish her family sincere sympathy over her loss. We just had our 40th reunion,we wish we had known that Nancy was ill so that we could have sent cards and included her in our prayer list. Sincerely, Penny Houston McRae
