I have known Nancy since she moved to the valley and we were fast friends. We got to know each other because I was friends with her oldest son Dwight.
After Dwight's passing Nancy and I stayed in touch for lunch and visits.

I'd like to extend my sympathy to the O'Reilly family. Although I met Nancy only a few times, I can testify as to her strength, dignity, and courage in the face of adversity. The Seventh Day Adventist Church is a beautiful place to say goodbye, and if I cannot be there in person on Friday I will certainly be there in spirit. Dear O'Reilly Family,

Every Marine, past and present is an honored part of our family.
We will never forget the bravery and enormous sacrifice of her generation.
I read too many obituaries in search of Marines so our organization can recognize them, I only wish I could have met this courageous woman to listen to her stories of being in the Marine Corps.
