Nancy Lynn Olson, 63, Duluth, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born in Roseau, Minn. on Dec. 22, 1944 to Eldon and Lynda (Lundgren) Milender. Nancy married Stanley L. Olson on June 15, 1963 in Warroad, Minn. She was bookkeeper and co-owner, with her husband, of Stan Olson Trucking. Nancy was a graduate of UMD with a degree in English Literature. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she served as the church librarian. She was president and treasurer of the Lutheran Library Committees. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was beloved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents. Nancy is survived by her husband, Stan; her daughters, Lisa (David) Thurston of Redwing, Minn., Jill (David) Hellerud of Vancouver, Wash..; her son, Lucas Olson of St. Paul; her grandchildren, Nathan, Jovi, Jesse, Erin, Cheyanne, and Benji; her sisters, Kathy (Steven) Jarvi of Carlton, Minn., and Mary Jo Danielson of Plainsville, Ind.; her brother, Skip (Jan) Milender of Thief River Falls, Minn.; her niece, Hollie (Denis) Holman of Hermantown, her nephew, Nicholas (Samantha) Ackerson of Washington, DC; and nephews, and niece, Jeff, Jack, Shawn, Andy, Darla, Stephen, and Jeff; and other family members. VISITATION:5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday from in Dougherty Funeral Home, continuing on Thursday from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. service in Grace Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery, Hermantown. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Duluth Clinic Foundation Cancer Fund, 400 East 3rd. St., Duluth, MN 55805 would be appreciated. Nancy I can't believe that you are gone from this world. You will not be forgotten. What a loving model you provided while you were on this earth. We love you! All of your relatives in California are shocked and saddened.
