Obituary

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Nancy Harvey Otway, on July 25, 2025, just two days after her 68th birthday. To know her was to love her. Nancy was a force of pure joy and instant friendship with nearly everyone she met. She had many passions in her life, but nothing compared to...

Not sure what to say?

As a friend recently pointed out when you lose a sibling, you lose part of your family history. Last year Nancy and I Iost our older brother Jeff Hall. We've had many shared experiences growing up with parents Bev and Bill Hall, from the greatest generation, whose tagline for kids was 'because I said so'. Nancy was the youngest, petite in statue yet mighty (Dad called her shrimp), a force of nature, and every birthday she would tease me how I was sooo much older than her. We were actually...

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Nancy was so fun to work with at Vrsi. She shared so many healthy recipes with me. Rest in peace Nancy!

So sorry and very surprised to hear of Nancy's illness and passing. Will remember her smile and enjoying Wed night bowling. Rest in peace

The Otway´s were my neighbors. I spent a lot of time over there, Nancy was always so kind and friendly. Always made me feel welcomed, she was so much fun, always smiling and laughing. I´ve thought of her often over the years, she was a big part of my childhood memories. Much love to the family

We met Nancy over 20 years ago through our son Randy marrying her daughter Chris, what a blessing ! We knew then what kind of person she was by the way she raised her children. Every Thanksgiving ,Mother´s Day , and birthday we got together she always had a smile on her face and ready to have a good conversation. We were so lucky to have her as a grandma to our grandkids. Goodbyes are hard to say, and words are hard to speak, but with prayer, we believe she is in better hands with our...

Nancy was the kindest woman you could meet. From the moment we met her she never made us feel like we were not part of her family .. always ready to share a story, a recipe, or a cold beer.. she will definitely be missed but I am sure that Kris and Johnny will keep her memory and tradition going ! our sincere condolences to the family-

Nancy came into my life when I was well into my 40s, but from the very start, it felt like I had known her forever. She was only 4`11" tall, but her heart, her spirit and her impact were larger than life. It was like she was 10 feet tall! She had a laugh that could light up a room, and a way of making everyone feel like the most special person in the world. We laughed together, cried together and shared the kind of friendship that only comes once in a lifetime. Nancy adored her family deeply...

I met Nancy when I was about 13 or 14, and she quickly became like a second mom-not just to me, but to so many of us. She was the cool mom-the one everyone felt comfortable around. I´ll always remember riding shotgun with her, listening to Z93.3, and how she introduced me to the Eagles (even let me borrow her Hotel California album!). She had a way of making everyday moments special. Nancy was full of wisdom and heart. We had so many meaningful talks during my teenage years-conversations...

I don't remember her ever without a smile.
