Not sure what to say?

To Nancy's family and dearest friends,

I want to express my deepest sympathies for your loss; I learned of Nancy's death quite unexpectedly. Nancy and I were counselors together at Homecrest Girls' Home in Maryland in the late 1970's, and I was talking to a friend last Thursday about that time in my life. Nancy was a central part of that story--a wonderful friend and colleague. She and I had last spent time together in the 1980's, during our early years in NYC, where I was...

Dear Mrs. Paterson, Sally and family, I want to express my deepest condolences. Nancy was such a talented, intelligent, vibrant woman and who shouldn't have been taken from this earth so young. Your pride in Nancy must be immense, trumped only by your greater sense of loss. My heart goes out to you.

Mrs. Paterson, Please accept my deep, heartfelt sympathy. I am awed by your daughter's many accomplishments, and I am saddened that she died so young. Lana Prusik Paust

Dear Sally and Mrs Patterson,
I hope you are both coping well. I was glad I was able to speak to Nancy a couple times on the phone during the past month. She sounded mentally very, very good. We had some laughs about old times at Nimmonsburg and First Presbyterian. We also talked awhile about the upcoming NCAA basketball tournament. She sure loved her sports.
Love to you both, Tim Boland (Yukon, Oklahoma)

My Condolences to The Paterson Family. I remember when Nancy played in the Baseball game in 1964. I cut out the newspaper article of that game. Her uniform had the letters NYA printed on the front shirt of her uniform that stood for Nimmonsburg Youth Assosciation. Richard Barvinchak also played in that game.

Dear Mrs. Paterson, Sally, and family,

I was sorry to read about Nancy's passing. Although I did not know her personally, I heard about her often from her grandma, who was very proud of her. As you must now realize, I lived with Mrs. Atwater in Auburn when I taught at West Middle School with Sally.

Nancy's achievements in her short life were many, and I know she was a valued woman who made a difference in the lives of others. I am sorry for your loss, and for the...

Mrs. Paterson, Sally and family - we are so sorry to hear about Nancy. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Many fond memories of Nancy & our C.V. highschool days. She was our 1971 class president, but most of all, I will always remember Nancy for her quick wit & contagious smile. May she rest in peace, ...Fran Volosevich

Mrs. Paterson, Sally and family. I was shocked to read of Nancy's death in the paper this morning. We saw each other last year at Lowes when she was home for a visit. I am so sorry. Nancy was a special person and I have fond memories of our growing up years. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
