Not sure what to say?

I met Nancy through Michigan League of Handweavers activities and additionally through Cross Borders, plus Handweavers of America activities. She and I served as co-chair persons to bring Convergence, an international weaving conference to Grand Rapids, MI, in 2006. She was an amazing weaver, most sharing with her Cross Border study group members, and just a wonderful all around sharing person in the weaving world. We traveled to Vancouver, BC, Denver, CO, Buford, GA, and Grand Rapids...

Nancy was a classmate of mine at Sandusky High School and I graduated with here in 1964. She was always a quiet and kind person and I sat next to her in a few classes and she would help me once in a while when I did not understand something in class. May God bless Nancy's family with all the grace and comfort they need at this time.

Although over six years older than me, and living in Michigan mostly while I grew up in New Jersey, and have lived in various other states, Nancy was terrific about staying in touch and sharing her artistic weaving abilities.

I am grateful she nurtured a wonderful family and shared her pride in her sons' and their families' accomplishments. George has been such an outstandingly supportive husband allowing Nancy to follow her weaving passion and nursing her through...

It couldn't have been easy being a den mother to a fluffle of bunnies. We will miss her.

I have to echo Barbara Rice's sentiments. Nancy was a stabilizing influence on a group of giddy freshmen and she was there to offer a listening ear and friendly advice. As Barb said, she got us off to a good start and we owe her so much. As you can see in the attached photo, she certainly had her work cut out for her. I just looked up what a group of bunnies is called. "Rabbits are very social creatures that always choose to live in groups when given the chance. A warren is the name given to...

Nancy always felt like a big sister and she certainly was a mentor to me. We shared many weaving interests and were both members of some of the same weaving groups. I always looked to her for advise, inspiration, and expertise, which she humbly and willingly shared. Last year as she was cleaning out her weaving files, she took the time to send many of us a packet of curated items and articles that she knew we would appreciate. What a blessing and a generous example. Even as her health...

Nancy was one of kindest, and encouraging persons I knew as a rookie weaver. She was always willing to share her knowledge without any intimidation. I believe she was very humble as I would not know her accomplishments had it not been for her peers who admired her equally. It is a great void for the weavers community to lose her. My wish for the family is that the warm memories give you strength through the difficult days ahead. Please know she touched my life and will never be forgotten.

Nancy was a wonderful weaving mentor and encouraged me to get involved in MLH. I acted as secretary when she was president and she gave me rides to the board meetings in Eaton Rapids

I knew Nancy for many years while our husbands worked together at Ford Motor Company. She was an accomplished, centered, and kind friend who was a joy to know. I remember the fun we had in Korea as we explored Seoul together, especially the fabric markets. A funny memory which still makes me smile is when Nancy translated the number of meters of curtain material for me, to the astonished surprise of the clerk. Later we realized the translation from English to Korean may have been slightly...

I loved meeting Nancy at weaving conferences and seminars. I am so sad to hear of her passing. Condolences to her family.
