Nancy Jean Polte

It is with great sadness that I read the obituary for Nancy Munger Polte. I began kindergarten with Nancy in 1935 at the Yorba Linda Grammar School, and we were classmates until high school graduation in 1948. My father, Valdo Y. Smith, and Nancy's mother Ruth served together on the Yorba Linda Library Board for a couple of decades. I remember Nancy as a quiet, sweet girl in grade school. I carry the memory of parties at her parents' home when we were 12 and 13 years of age. I think...

I was so sorry to read of Nancy's passing. My daughter, Vicki Keeran, dated Larry in high school, and my other daughter, Karen Keeran Green dated Jeff. Vicki passed away Feb. 20, 2011. She had Parkinson's Disease for 32 years. A terrible disease. I'm so sorry for your loss.
