Nancy Ann Pritchard, 60 of De Soto, Kansas, formerly of Stuart passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. Visitation will be held from 5-8 P.M. on Monday, November 25th at the First Congregational Church in Stuart. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 26th at the First Congregational Church in Stuart. Memorial contributions may be directed in Nancy's name to Heroes For Healing, 625 N. Winwood Terrace, Gardner, KS 66030. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonfamilyfuneralhome.com. Nancy was born September 23, 1953 to Russell and Frances (Schwanebeck) McClure in Greenfield, Iowa. She grew up in Stuart and graduated from Stuart High School with the class of 1971. On August 11, 1969 she was united in marriage to Lynn Pritchard at the Stuart United Methodist Church. To this union two daughters were born: Robbin and Natalie. Nancy assisted her husband with Pritchard Plumbing and also worked at Employers Mutual/Guide One Insurance from 1978-1989. In July 2001, Nancy and Lynn moved to De Soto, Kansas to make their home and to be near family. While in Kansas she worked at Cedar Creek Elementary School. This was very rewarding to Nancy as she didn't think of it as a job, but a calling in life. She served as a kindergarten assistant for two years before becoming a para teacher. Nancy was a member of the Stuart Congregational Church and attended the Maywood Church in Kansas City, Kansas. She enjoyed motorcycle trips and vacationing, hosting pool parties for her colleagues, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Frances McClure on February 20, 2013 and her grandparents. Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband: Lynn of De Soto, KS; daughters: Robbin (John) Zaver of Olathe, KS and Natalie (Rusty) Rahm of Olathe, KS; grandchildren: Alex Zaver of Olathe, KS, Gage Zaver of Olathe, KS, Casey Rahm of Olathe, KS and Christian Rahm of Olathe, KS; father: Russell McClure of Stuart; siblings: Terri (David) Larsen of Stuart and James McClure of Shawnee, KS and a host of nieces, nephews family and friends all of whom will miss her dearly. (Arrangements: Johnson Family Fueral Home & Cremation Services).
