Putman, Nancy Smead Age 79, of Edina, beloved mother & grandmother, passed away, December 10, 2006. Preceded in death by husbands, Howard "Pete" Smead & Charles F. Putman, and granddaughter, Natalie Perry Smead. Survived by children, Kent (Annick) Fritz-Smead; Shannon Samuels (Rick Finato) & Peter Smead; step-children, Lindsay (Ron) Ray & Gary (Judy) Putman; grandchildren, Julien & Xavier Fritz- Smead, Meaghan, Blake & Alison Samuels; step-grandchildren, Matthew (Shana) Ray, Joanna (Scott) Lenaburg, Suzanne (Todd) Erickson, Tracy Putman & Angela (Andy) Nelson; step-great-grandchildren, Paul & Benjamin Erickson and Olivia Nelson. Nancy graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1945 and attended St. Mary Female Seminary Junior College, MD. She worked for 25 years at Marketline Research. She was an active member at Christ Presbyterian Church since June 7, 1972 - serving as a Deacon, as an Elder from '94-‘97, and in the Prayer & Healing, Stephen's, & Reception Ministries. She was also a volunteer for Loaves & Fishes at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Nancy especially loved times with family at the lake home on Leader Lake in northern WI as well as her worldwide travel with family & friends. Nancy died with courage, dignity, spirituality and loving assistance from all her angels. Memorials preferred to ALS Assoc., the Amer. Lung Assoc., or to church. Funeral Service: Thurs, Dec. 14, 2 PM at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6901 Normandale Rd, Edina. Visitation 1 hour prior at church & Wed., Dec. 13 (TONIGHT), 4-7 PM at: Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel 952-920-3996 West 50th St. & Hwy 100
