Is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Nancy Jo Shallenberger Rowan on Friday January 12th 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 19th 1936 in Vanderbilt Pa daughter of Harry B.  Anna Speelman Shallenberger , she spent her life dedicated to her family, friends and church. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren She is survived by her children Richard Rowan Jr and friend Lisa, Shawnee Olinzock, Lyn Hone, Michael Rowan and wife Rhonda, Cynthia Umbel, and Laurie Roadman and husband Jayme, grandchildren Jeffrey Hone, Samantha Hone, Andrea Olinzock, Keith Olinzock, Laura Medvec and husband Jeffrey, Andrew Rowan, Emily Rowan, Eva Rowan, Lindsay Richter and husband Kyle, Joshua Umbel and wife Natalie, Loryn Roadman, Hunter Roadman, Belinda Lynn and husband Jesse, Mathew Rowan, and savanna Rowan Melanie Warnick, Doug Stockey and wife Michelle, Jessica DeBerry, great grandchildren Addy Lee Umbel, Alfred Medvec, Gwendolyn Medvec, Kyra Richter, Alexa, Colts Lynn, Delano’s Warnick, Kennedy and Christian Stockey, Damon, Darian and Taren DeBerry, Anthony Rowan , Jayson Rowan, Nyia Rowan.She was predeceased by parents, siblings, husband Richard Rowan, son Jamie Rowan, and grand daughter Rebecca Rowan.


Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the RALPH GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 501 Railroad Street, Dawson (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel. Additional viewing will be held from 10-11 AM Tuesday in the Vanderbilt United Methodist Church followed by funeral services at 11 AM Tuesday with Rev. Dr. Marvin Watson officiating. Chapel committal service and interment will be in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery. Love Lasts Forever!
