Nancy Ann Sachs died peacefully on July 5th 2015, with her family close by. She was 78 years old. Nancy was born November 23rd 1936, in Lincoln Nebraska to Arnold Irmer and Maxita Irmer (Keester). Nancy had two brothers Jim and Larry who preceded her in death. She moved to Los Angeles with her family when she was twelve and eventually ended up settling in Albany Oregon where she married Myron Sahleen in 1954 and had three children Shelley White, Julie Templeton and a son Jay Sahleen. In 1976 Nancy met Eral Sachs, the two became life partners and eventually married. Nancy became a mom again to Erals three children Hiram Sachs, Sam Sachs and Rachel Sachs. Nancy enjoyed sewing and knitting. She sewed her children's clothes and dolls. One year she won 1st place at the Oregon State Fair for a doll she made. She played the accordion and was a member of The Santiam Jewelers city league softball team that enjoyed much success. She wrote memoirs of her life, and enjoyed spending time with her pets B.J., Lilly and Mazel. Nancy received an associate's degree. She worked as a receptionist for the Linn Benton Lincoln Education Service District, and attended South Albany Community Church; her faith was important to her. Nancy enjoyed playing bunko, where she made friends easily with her quirky sense of humor and was a very stylish lady whenever she went out in public. She loved her family, children and grandchildren deeply. Nancy Sachs was a kind hearted, loving woman who will be missed. She is survived by her children Shelley White of Albany Oregon, Julie Templeton of Albany Oregon, Hiram Sachs of Salem Oregon, Sam Sachs of Portland Oregon and Rachel Sachs of Florence Oregon and Son-in-law Ted Templeton. She is preceded in death by her son Jay Sahleen and her Husband Eral Sachs. She leaves behind 11 Grand Children and 8 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at Millersburg Park in Albany Oregon on Friday July 31st at 2 pm. Food will be provided.
