SELVIG, Nancy Helen - Of Grand Blanc, age 83, died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. A memorial service will be held at 11AM Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Elder Roger White officiating. Per Nancy's wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation 4-7PM Friday February 29, 2008 at the funeral home. Immediately following the visitation there will be a tribute to Nancy. Nancy was born in Bismarck, North Dakota on July 15, 1924, the daughter of the late Glover and Helen Dollar. She was a resident of Ann Arbor for many years before moving to Grand Blanc. Nancy graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. She was a member of Forgotten Man Ministries and volunteered at the Genesee County Jail for many years. Nancy was an active member at the House of Prayer in Grand Blanc for over 45 years. She enjoyed aerobics, swimming, crafts and spending winters in Florida, but her true joy was traveling to spend time with her children, grandchildren and many friends. She was employed at General Mills Corporation in Minneapolis, MN as a Chemist and worked for the Ann Arbor School System. Surviving are children, Christopher (Elisabeth) of Irwin, PA, David (Margo) of Huntersville, NC, Steven (Beverly) of Pinckney, MI, Elizabeth Selvig of Saline, MI, Timothy (Kerry) of Flushing, MI., Sarah Selvig of Eden Prairie, MN; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George. Nancy will be sadly missed by all the lives she touched and those she willingly blessed. Flint and Florida We would have lunch at our favorite Taco Bell
after exercize and visit.All the spa ladies will miss her. Her Faith kept her going and we admired
