Not sure what to say?

A great lost, my sympathy to M. shestack family. Nancy touched the live of so many desperate people fleeing persecution including myself. I became friend of the shestacks, they invited me to diner at Thanksgiving days for number of years. In testimony of the good Nancy was doing for charity, my wife and I decided to name our daughter Nancy if ever we had one. The baby we were expecting for sometimes, came years after but was a baby boy, so we named him ALAN. Nancy's beloved husband My son...

I am back in New Haven in 2022, and looked Nancy up. She was my favorite teacher at High School in the Community, around 1974! Hands down one of the most influential teachers I have ever had. For one, she was brilliant. throughout my education, which eventually included grad school at Yale and Columbia U, I've often remembered her for the ideas she taught and the skills and confidence she helped me acquire. She gave us courses in American Indian Studies, we read novel by Chinua Achibe...

To the family of Nancy Jane Shestack:
I am sorry for your loss. The obituary article failed to include that she taught at Hillhouse High School in the late 1960's into at least June 1970, but I do not remember her as one of my teachers. May Nancy Jane's memory be for a blessing.

Mr. Shestack: feel proud of having a such a wonderful wife, like I am very proud to had her as my boss in Hogar Hispano, Falls Church, VA. She was the greatest fighter for justice and human rights in our office, she accomplished her mission to help people in need of any kind of help. (Fomer Hogarian)

Alan: So sorry. Good memories of Nancy. She was devoted to her immigrations clients and to improving the laws in that area. We enjoyed being with you both over the years and wish we had seen more of you in recent years. My best wishes for you. George Abrams

Dear Alan, I send you hugs and sympathy from the Wellesley Class of '62. This is a great loss for us. Nancy, in spite of her disabilities in later life, had such humor, courage, persistence in her good work, and accomplished so much to help so many. She will be part of us always. Love and blessings, Martha

Such sad news. I have fond memories of our time together in Boston.

Nancy Jane was like a big sister to me.
I will miss her great sense of humor, laughter and friendship. My thoughts and prayers are also with Alan at this particular time.

Alan, I am very sorry for your loss. When I came to visit with my now fiancé, Victoria, you and Nancy were both such a great pleasure to meet. I am very happy that I had that opportunity to meet Nancy.
