NANCY SILBERT Obituary

SILBERT--Nancy Loeb, beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on September 3, 2024. She was born in New York City on July 6, 1932. She graduated from The Dalton School and received a BA from Wheelock College, Boston University. She was an educational volunteer at the Costume Institute and the American Wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for over twenty-five years. She loved to garden with her husband at their home in Guilford, CT, and cook and entertain for friends. She was an adventurous traveler and loved taking trips around the world with her husband and friends to such far-flung places as China, Nepal and Europe. She had a keen sense of color and style and was a talented painter and had a practice in interior design. She was warm-hearted and outgoing and loved people, and was a loyal and devoted friend to many. She is survived by her husband Jules, children Tom and Wendy, son-in-law Daryl, and her beloved grandchildren Henry and Oliver. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 8 at 10am at Frank E. Campbell, Mad- ison Avenue at 81st Street.

Nancy was a sweet, loving lady. I grew up with her children in Central Park and at camp in Maine. I always thought it was fantastic that she worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We will miss her dearly. Sending much love to her family. May her memory be a blessing.
