Nancy was a special human being; her last name furnished an apt description. I learned a lot working with her over the years. She had the ability to supervise with great patience and help people like me improve our writing. She and Joe invited me to their rural home once and we went horseback riding in the lovely countryside. It is a memory I will always keep. I truly mourn her passing.

I was privileged to work with Nancy for many years at VOA. She was more than a colleague- she was my editor and mentor and friend. I am so deeply saddened by her passing, and I send my heartfelt condolences to Joe and the family.
