Dear Coach Spear and Family,
As a hockey mom, I am grateful that your mother (and father) instilled in your family such a selfless commitment of serving those in your community. Obviously, you learned by example and are continuing their legacy of service. May your loving parents now watch over you together.
With sympathy and prayers,
Nancy Kirkpatrick (Pierce's mom)

It was a wonderful privilege to have known Nancy and experienced her generosity and hospitality on more than one occasion. She and Bob were truly a match made in heaven and now they are together in that wonderful place. My sympathy to all the Spear family.

Rob, Jim, and Tom:
Young and I send you our love. What a lovely obituary and how much like Bob and Nancy it was. I was at your mom and dad's wedding in Petersburg ( a very long time ago) but I still remember the vibrant and happy time it was. Your mom was so happy to have married Bob. Both your parents never lost that love of people. Now, they share love in a different dimension. May both your mom and dad share that same happiness with all those who have gone before us in peace.

Sorry to hear Nancy has died too. Your memories will serve you well now and the peacefulness that your parents are together again. The Spear house was always a happy place to be.
