Nancy was born in Rowan Co., NC where she grew up and lived until moving to Hampton in 1957. There, Nancy and her husband George Ronald Starnes, who died in 1998, lived and their family grew. Kenny was born in Hampton and always took the role of looking after his parents and stayed with them as they moved to Smithfield in 1978. She had served as Sunday School Teacher, served on the alter guild and as a choir member. She also helped in Gloria Dei Lutheran School where she was a teacher's aide and school bus driver. Kenny grew up and learned a love for hunting and fishing from his father. He spent time with family and friends at the Bucks Branch Hunt Club in Southampton Co and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay. Nancy is survived by her three other children, Kenny's brother and sisters, Sharon Starnes Hile (Les), and Sarah Starnes Langel, Paul Michael Starnes (Doris); Nancy's sister, Annie K. Not sure what to say?

Nancy, I sure miss our late night talking on Facebook. Tell Ronnie and Ma hello. Love you

6 years today and it still feels like the 1st day. I miss the both of you so very much. What I wouldn't give to see you or talk to you , hear your voice one more time. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you. Love you and miss you both beyond measure.

Just sitting here and thinking of you both and all the good times and memories we had. I just wish you both were here to make more. I know I will see you both again someday.
