Every memory I have of Nancy is with a warm and welcoming smile. She never failed to make me feel as much a part of her family as Bill and Ashley always made me feel as part of their smaller family. With the times I had around Nancy, it was so easy to see where Ashley got so much of who she is.

What wonderful memories I have of Nancy! I always enjoyed my time with her, even a trip with a station wagon full of runners on a snowbound turnpike trip from Reading to Mt. Lebanon! Many of my memories are from the Track Club days and there were many. But most of all I remember her as a wonderful and caring mother and friend,

Regardless of the circumstance surrounding your mom's passing it is a deep loss when both parents have gone. All my sympathy to the extended Sutherland family. Surely, your mom felt greatly blessed to have been loved by all of you.

I will always hold Nan's laugh in my heart. She was a dear friend of my parents, Bill and Shirley Jones, and because of them had many funny stories in her EXTENSIVE repertoire.

I'm sad for all 7 of her children, but particularly for my friend, Holly. Nan orchestrated sending Holly and I to Hornes "Charm School" downtown Pittsburgh when we were 15 years old.
