Nancy Jean Towner

Nancy was born to Jack A. Francis and Mary E. Bradley on September 28, 1930. She was preceded in death by both parents and two siblings, James K. Francis (1937) and Charles Francis (1944). She was born and raised on a farm near Wills Point, Texas.

Nancy graduated in 1948 from Wills Point High School. After attending one year of college, she began her working career in 1949 with Southwest Bell which ultimately became AT&T. She retired after 41 1/2 years of dedicated service. Following retirement, she became very active in volunteer work. She dedicated many hours to her church and AT&T Pioneer Group.

On September 26, 1969, Nancy married William (Bill) Towner. Nancy and Bill joined Northway Christian Church August 28, 1987. Nancy and Bill loved to travel visiting places like Alaska, Canada, and Hawaii. Bill passed away April 2, 2004.

Nancy went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2016 after a long illness. She was a very special person that was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery at 3:30 Friday, February 12th.
