Nancy Ann Unwin

Thoughts of Nancy still comfort me after her passing. She was special. I remember the last time I visited her at her home just before she moved to Novi. She gave me her card table which I treasure and use as a dining room table now. Continue to rest in peace my friend.

Nancy will never be forgotten.

I met Ms. Unwin as a teenager working at my dad's service station Shipley's Standard Service. She was always very nice and took an interest in how we were doing at school and what activities we were involved in. She was also very encouraging about getting a good education, something that can never be taken away from you. I first met Nancy at one of the OUTskirts Sunday potluck meetings. I also attended a few of the WOA social events. We often talked about hers and my mother's love of Bridge and how inept I was at the game.
I cherish the memory of the opportunity to help her pack up her house before her move to Fox Run. We exchanged emails for awhile until losing touch years ago.
Nancy was a special lady, and I do and always will, keep her memory deep in my heart.

What a dear woman this world has lost. Condolences to the family of this wonderful woman. She and I have crossed paths for years and years ago she taught a 8-week course teaching bridge at affirmation in Ferndale. I took those classes and am happy to say I am still playing bridge locally with a nice group of folks. Thank you Nancy for the many blessings I was bestowed because of you.
