Rigby Harting and Hagan Funeral Home - Media Obituary

Nancy West (née Isselmann) died unexpectedly from sudden cardiac arrest on June 17.  Nancy was born on April 14, 1979, in Media, Pa. She was raised in Wallingford, Pa and resided there at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff, and daughters, Julia and Clara; her parents, Peg and John Isselmann; her siblings Jack Isselmann (Erin), Marie Curran (Patrick), and Katie DiSantis (Ron); her sister-in-law Laura Augusto (Robert) and brother-in-law Richard West (Lindsay), her nieces and nephews: Amy, Carly, Samantha, Megan, Luciana, Joseph, Lidia, Gracie, Charlotte, Drew, Grant and Nolan; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues and her dog, Sonny. Nancy is predeceased by her parents-in-law Martha (Marti) and Carl Michael West, Aunt Clara West, Uncle John McGovern, her grandparents John & Peg McGovern and Edward & Marie Isselmann, and her dog Roxy.

She filled rooms with joy and fun as a child, earning her a theme song about her "crazy dance.” Nancy's joy for life continued into adulthood, where her sense of humor brought life to all events. Nancy was reliable and loyal to family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors. She was hardworking and smart, able to solve any problem that someone brought to her and did so with a calm and caring demeanor that put you at ease.

Nancy was the best mother, wife, daughter and sister to her family. She loved every second of life with Jeff, Julia and Clara. She cared for her daughters and husband most lovingly; they were the center of her world. She also adored dogs, with a special affection for beagles.

Nancy loved vacations in Wolfeboro, NH, with Jeff and their girls. She loved times at the Jersey shore with family and friends. She loved the offerings of the Bravo network, Andy Cohen productions, Oprah, and the Golden Girls. She loved walks in Wallingford and times at the pool. Nancy led party planning at work, and her cookies were an expected item. She loved being a doting aunt. She embraced her Irish heritage and was a loyal Phillies and Eagles fan. She loved New Orleans.

Nancy graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree and worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years.

Not sure what to say?

I'm so sorry to just today hear of your loss. I watched you grow up for 10 years and you always made me smile and laugh. And, I just finished watching your memorial picture video from beginning to end. It was so wonderful to see how you matured, how you were always smiling or laughing in your pictures, and how many lives you touched throughout your life. God bless you and all of your family forever and always! ❤

My heart goes out to the West and Isselmann families at the loss of this indelible radiant soul gone far too soon.

Very Sadden of the sudden loss to the family. May family find comfort that Nancy is with our Lord and watching over her family.

Peg & John & Family: we are so very sorry to hear of the loss of your daughter, Nancy. She was a lovely child and a beautiful woman. I wish I was there to give you both hugs. Please know that you are in our prayers at this sad time. Love, Dot & Tom Gaffney

We are so very for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Nancy was just the sweetest woman, and a lovely person from the moment I met her. The girls are just as sweet as their mother. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. My heart is heavy and I will be praying that God's healing power and love will overwhelm your sorrow and bring you back to the joy that Nancy would want for you. If there is anything that I can do you are most welcome to ask.

I am so sorry to hear about Nancy. It was always nice to speak to her about Julia when she was in my class. Prayers to you all.

May all your beautiful and precious memories of Nancy fill your hearts with love, and pray God gives you comfort, peace and strength during this difficult time. 2nd Thessalonians 2:16,17.

Jack so sorry to hear of the los of your beloved sister. It still brings a smile to my face when I think back to your childhood comments about your little sister. May her memory be a blessing to you and all those she loved. May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
