Guest Book

Not sure what to say?

Reading the guest book has brought alot
of remembering, Nancy and Sam and the new condo "decorator" the "green"chair
Sam loved, the battle that ensued, the
humor and love and the fact that green does not go with mauve, blue and purple, but stood out like the beacon of comfort that it was. I too have a
"Sam " chair in my living room whose
only reason is too offer comfort.

Nancy was the kindly mother of my very good friend Kevin, who I met in 1959.She always sent "goodies" for our camping trips with Sam, Kevin, Kay and me.I remember Nancy's thrifty "Scotsman", a Studebaker car. God Bless Nancy and her family! Greg Buck

I'm sure I wasn't, but Aunt Nancy had a way of making me feel like I was her favorite nephew. Some of my favorite moments with her include sitting around Suzy & Rick's table playing and singing Gordon Lightfoot songs, etc.; remembering stories about her raising the Springer Spaniel puppies - clothespinning their ears back so it didn't get in the bowl, wheelbarrowing them around to the shady side of the house, etc.; going shopping with her to get a new VHS recorder, and just general laughter....

Al and I are so sorry to hear of Nancy's death. I was not close with her family but when she and my mother got together there was always laughter. The first time Nancy met my mother she came to the door and said,"can you come out and play?" Nancy was very dear to her

Hi Kevin & Kay,

What can I say about your Mom? A weird sense of humor kept all of us laughing. The two of you have inherited that gene. Keep up remembering Nancy in that vain.

Our family gatherings were always filled with laughter and as all of the families grew it was hard to accomodate the ever increasing herd.

I'm proud of you two and Kevin you have always been there. I did visit Nancy once before she went to hospice and I'm sorry I didn't get the voice...

Aunt Nancy was one of a kind, she was a warm and witty soul that
allways had a twinkle in her eye. Gracious and charming she had time for all of the extended family. My heart goes out to Kevin and Kay and all of the children.
Love B.J.

Nancy was one of the nicest people that I've known. I remember using her bowling ball it was blue with her name Nancy on it. It was the best bowling ball. I remember her 60th birthday, her and Kay came over to my mother in laws for a birthday party. She was like a mother to me while I lived in Seattle. Nancy will be missed.

I met Nancy 56 years ago. I was about 7 years old. Nancy and Sam were my parents best friends. My dad use to hop the fence between our houses to visit Sam. Dad and Sam made an infamose batch of beer in Sam and Nancy's garage. The bottles all blew up in the summer heat filling Nancy and Sam's brand new convertible with brew! We would light fireworks in the Whinihans backyard on July 4th. I remember my dad lighting something huge and back peddling away, only to slip and fall on his tookis. I...

I want to extend my deepest sympathies to the Whinihan Family - especially Kay. I first met Nancy almost 30 years ago when Kay invited me over. She was very warm and friendly to me from the start.
I recall one incident where I was trying to impress Kay with my musical skills - so I brought my violin over for a short recital. However, I had not been practicing. I hadn't played more that a few times since high school. The fact that Nancy and Kay knew so many professional musicians...
