Nancy C. Windes

Doug, I am saddened to learn of Nancy's death. I have always remembered her with much fondness. She was a lovely person. We met at NC Wesleyan College more than 50 years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Nancy was my daughter's kindergarten teacher. She left a lasting impact on me as a parent of how to teach and care for my daughter.

Nancy Windes was one of my most favorite teachers ... I remember even from being a little girl - her creative and inspiring and warm nature. I still have the little story book that we made in class about my favorite cat Tiger. When I think of specialness mark of being a teacher, Nancy Windes comes to mind about the imprint she's made on so many students lives. Sending big love to her family and larger community.
