Kim and Brian, I was just looking up your Mom´s address to send a Christmas card and was shocked to see she had passed away. I am sad. We were not in constant contact but connected every few years. Nancy! your photo image in my head still pops up in all meetings you participated. Your sweet smile is ingrained in my mind and hope to have more people in my life like you. I´m so grateful to have met a great person like you. My condolences to all the family which I will always have in my prayers!!!

I have never thought of Nancy as nasty, although she would have laughed at that description. She was instead kind, caring, intelligent and passionate about her family and her job. She always took the title of public servant seriously, helping individuals and the community tirelessly. I feel privileged to have known and worked with her. God bless, until we meet again.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Nancy through the Florida Floodplain Manager's Association meetings, and she was a bright light to us all. She was definitely WITTY, and one of those people that received a name that could be used as a nickname. I am going to miss her friendship, intelligence and energy, and also her professional integrity.

I was blessed early in my planning career to work with Nancy in Citrus County. She was an amazing women. She taught me to ready Flood Insurance Rate Maps and to work with citizens and developers to avoid flood related issues. She was never easy on me but because of her amazing spirit I became a better planner and also certified floodplain manager. Nancy will be missed. I pray her family will be comforted knowing that Nancy was held in such high regard by her colleagues and friends.

So sorry to hear of this news. Nancy was great to work with while I worked at the National Flood Insurance Program. So sorry for your loss. She was a great lady.

Nancy Witty´s passing is certainly a loss to the floodplain management community. Nancy´s dedication to FFMA helped to build the foundation for a great organization that will benefit the future of Florida for generations to come. I enjoyed working with Nancy and will cherish her memory. My prayers go out to her family.

Nancy was one of the first people I met through FFMA back in 2008. She always had a smile for anyone she met and her sense of humor always made you laugh. She will be greatly missed by the Florida Floodies! Prayers to her family and friends.
