Nanette Walker, age 90, of Texarkana, Texas, died September 30, 2014.
Mrs. Walker was born November 29, 1923, in McKinney, Texas. She graduated high school in De Queen, Arkansas then business college in De Moines, Iowa, and moved to Texarkana in the early 1940?s. She was a kindergarten teacher; a bookkeeper and payroll secretary for H.E. Wright Construction Company; an instructor at Southwestern Institute; manager of ?The Book Shelf? ; worked as a commercial copy writer for KOSY and KTFS radio stations; was a Girl Scout leader; treasurer for the mission society at 1st Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR,; a librarian at First Baptist Church, Texarkana; ran the prayer ministry at First Baptist Church for over 20 years; was a member of the Junior League in the 1950?s; hand painted porcelain China on a professional level; and collected and sold antiques and had booths at several antique malls.
She is preceded in death by her husband R.C. ?Sap? Walker and an infant son R.B. Cullom III.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law Warren Cullom of Texarkana, Texas; Bruce and Linda Cullom of Wake Village, Texas; a daughter Camille Cullom of Texarkana, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2 P.M. Thursday at First Baptist Church Wake Village with Rev. Scott Neathery officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Arrangements are with Chapelwood Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Wake Village, Missions fund; 820 Wake Avenue, Wake Village, Texas 75501.

Bruce and Linda, Mrs. Cullom was a real, classy Southern Lady. I always enjoyed the short visits I had with her. I'm sorry I couldn't be there with you for the service today.
