Not sure what to say?

We are saddened to learn of the death of Naomi Chernoff CC'75, and wish to express to you and your family the deepest sympathy of the Connecticut College community and the Alumni Association.

I had the fortune of being under Dr. Chernoff's tutelage during the initial days of my first year at medical school. I was delighted to meet a professor who embodied academic intellect and a light hearted spirit. When the class was over, I remember thinking how much I looked forward to seeing her and other professors like her on the hospital floors during my rotation years. To Naomi's family,

It is with great sadness that I learned the passing of your mother, sister and daughter.

I am a second year student at upstate. She taught me last year and I wanted to say how a great teacher she was and how greatly she inspired me during our discussions.

Naomi was kind, considerate, compassionate about life and her many talents. She will be missed. No matter how trying times were she
always put her children first. She seems to have the strength to make the most of any situation. Her love of life will sincerely be missed. Chloe and Amina my heart goes out to you.

With great shock, I heard the news about this tragedy in Shullah's family. Please accept our prayers and deepest condolences.

I worked with Dr. Chernoff many years while on 4B @ SUNY. She had wonderful compassion and understanding both as a resident and as an attending. She was always willing to talk to this young nurse about psychiatry and the treatment of the many patients. I'm so sorry to hear about her loss. Many fond memories of Naomi.

We extend our deepest sympathy to our dear friend Shula Chernoff and her family. May the joy and comfort that Naomi brought to others live on in the hearts of her daughters. We will remember you all in our prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are extended to the family. She will be missed. I'm proud to have cared for her at the Francis House.
